Hops put the 'bitter' in beer and are grown in similar environments to that of grape vines. There are so many different varieties to choose from when brewing.
Tasting Notes
Citra
displays aromas of lemon, orange and grapefruit. Providing a very clean citrus flavour.
Cascade
has aroma of spicy flowers with a very smooth bitterness component, mainly used in the recipe is for the bittering, which is on the very low side.
Goldings
shows aroma of mixed citrus and florals and flavours of peach and apricot. Mainly used for aroma rather than bittering
Mosiac
gives the aromas of tropical fruits and berries.
